Land Lots 252 & 253 in the 17th District, originally Henry County, then DeKalb, now Fulton County.
Those Land Lots which are now the Riverside neighborhood were owned by Obadiah Thompson and James W. Spink in the mid 1800’s. Spink married Thompson’s daughter Elizabeth. Elizabeth survived her husband and after her death in 1910 the property was known as The Spink Estate and in 1917 sold off as “300 lots and 20 small farms”. The first property sold off the estate was in 1892 which included portions of current Main Street, Church Street and Spink Street south of Bolton Road which was known as River Road at the time. Current Hollywood Road was known as Chattahoochee Avenue.
